Student Democracy - Again

This entry reflects upon the arisen civic activity in Studentski grad [1] in the past week. The latest news is that of a student rally against disorder, noise, illegal places of resort, unsatisfactory health care and food. The murder of the beaten to death by fellow students Stoyan Baltov triggered widespread protests and an awareness of the social role of the student today.

Project Writing at AUBG

Project Writing has not been offered as a course at our university in student living memory. It is up for registration, but according to some rumors there is a chance that this course is not offered again in the next two years. I believe it should be offered every semester/year, and with more weigh in the POS/EUR department.
 
On Authority, Disagreeing and Criticism – First Part

A recent conference in Sofia spurred some thoughts of mine on authority and disagreeing. The more I think about it, the more I realize thatAUBG is not exactly the heaven of free expression. True, we are a step ahead of the Bulgarian state universities, but what we have achieved is not nearly enough.

Since I am opinionated, and like expressing my viewpoints, my logical reaction is to join in the ongoing discussion of the draft schedule for the spring semester.
