Blagoevgrad Budget Draft

Blagoevgrad will have a total of 26.4 million leva for state activities and 25.3 million leva for local activities, which is a rise in revenue of 7.4% and 15.8% respectively compared to last year. Capital expenditure, that is, spending on long-term assets, will amount to about 32 million leva.

Administrative measures ban municipal kindergartens in Blagoevgrad from receiving donations after an inspection revealed irregularities, said Mayor Kostadin Paskalev. He specifically ordered the financial check as a result of parents’ complaints.

Bulgarian PM Stuck in a Cabin Lift Incident

Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev and Blagoevgrad Mayor Kostadin Paskalev got stuck in the cabin lift of the new ski-resort “Kartala” due to a technical failure on Wednesday, Sept 17.
