More than 240 people came to the All-Students Assembly(ASA) meeting this Thursday, Sep 25, fulfilling the newly established 20 percent quorum requirement. As SG Treasurer Leorand Ndoni said, the high turnout broke all records.

Major changes in the budget this year included increasing the buckets for the More Honors (from $1,500 to $3,000) and the AUBG Olympics (from $1,000 to $1500). The money was pulled from the Clubs and the SG Parties buckets. The latter is now left with only $1,000.

After voting on the budget, students began leaving the meeting, bringing the overall number of attendees below the required minimum. Because of that, remaining items on the agenda were simply presented and then approved by the SG.

Among these were the Budgetary and Student Representatives Selection Committees’ guidelines, and Student Government Goals for 2008-2009.
