 | Alice was admitted to the hospital in great pain. They decided that her illness was caused by excessive skepticism and sadness. She was rushed to the emergency room, where she underwent major surgery. During her convalescence, Alice got to know the surgeon, and she asked him for details about her operation. Her surgeon produced a flask containing musical notes, which were distorted and decayed. He said he had removed these notes and had replaced them with the silences needed for harmony in the soul. When the surgeon added that he had been able to repair some other notes, Alice asked him what materials he had used to repair them. The doctor showed him a crystal jewel box containing shining rainbow threads, sunset-coloured dyes and fragments of dreams and visions. Thought: The Dutchess in the original book Alice in Wonderland has once observed a phenomenon truth: “Take care of the sense, and the sounds will take care of themselves.” A little shabby on a first read, though a second go would start you up a thinking/feeling your own sense and visions… |
