The Registrars did not mail the international students’ grade reports to their home addresses this semester. Instead, they were delivered to the students’ rooms. The official university policy is to send grades to students’ homes at the end of each semester. Registrar Evelina Terzieva said this year the office printed out the grades one week before the spring semester started. Normally, this happens “much earlier,” Terzieva said, and the mail reaches students’ homes before the next semester. This year, there was not enough time for the mail to reach the internationals at home. Terzieva did not elaborate on the reasons for the delay in printing out the grade reports. The official policy towards grade reports has not changed. Out of 10 interviewed international students, six said they did not mind what happened this semester, two did not like it and would prefer the grades to be sent home, one was in favor of the change, and one received the grade report both in the room and at home.
